Moraga Beautification and Tree Planting Program Implementation Committee

The Town of Moraga is currently recruiting for three volunteers to serve on the Moraga Beautification and Tree Planting Program.  If you are interested please fill out the application and return to the Planning Department.

On February 9, 2005, the Town Council authorized the formation of a seven member ad hoc advisory committee to develop a Moraga Beautification and Tree Planting Program in accordance with General Plan Implementation Programs IP-G5 and G6. Since then, the committee worked to create conceptual designs to improve the safety and aesthetic qualities of the Town's scenic corridors, commercial centers, community facilities, and residential neighborhoods.

On January 24, 2007, the Town Council approved the creation of a Beautification and Tree Planting Program Implementation Committee (BTPPIC) to begin tree planting and work toward the implementation of the design concepts outlined by the former advisory committee.

The Moraga Beautification & Tree Planting Implementation Committee is made up of the following volunteers that were appointed by the Town Council:

  • Christine Kuckuk (Design Review Board member)
  • Jim Kline (Design Review Board member)
  • Allen Sayles (Planning Commissioner)
  • Karen Mendonca (Park and Recreation Commissioner)
Meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of every month from 5:15 pm to 6:45 pm in the Preschool Room at the Hacienda de las Flores, 2100 Donald Drive.   Public comment is welcome and encouraged!
