The Town of Moraga is seeking an energetic and service-oriented Accountant to join the Administrative Services Department.  The Accountant performs a full range of responsible professional level accounting activities, including:  maintaining, developing, verifying, and analyzing fiscal records and reports, ensuring compliance with internal controls; prepare financial statements, review fiscal records, and monitor financial transactions in accordance with prescribed accounting systems and generally accepted principles of accounting and auditing; providing technical support to Administrative Services Technician; and performing related duties and other work as required.

This position performs journey level professional and highly technical accounting work of a varied nature.  The requirement of a conceptual grasp of complex accounting systems and subsystems distinguishes this class from the Administrative Services Technician.

Assistant Planner 

Salary:  $68,736 - $79,572

The Town of Moraga is seeking an energetic and service-oriented Assistant Planner to join the Planning Department. The position offers a unique opportunity to work on a diverse array of assignments, including helping customers at the public information counter and reviewing building, administrative, and discretionary permits for compliance with complex regulations. This is an entry-level classification in the professional planning series. Initially, incumbents learn and perform a variety of techniques related to the interpretation, application and enforcement of the Town’s land use regulations, including Zoning Ordinances and the General Plan.

Positions at this level usually perform most of the duties required of the position at the Associate level, but are not expected to function at the same skill level and exercise less independent discretion and judgement in matters related to work procedures and methods.

Police Officer (Lateral and Academy Graduates)

Salary:  $6,874 - $8,772 monthly

As a
Police Officer (Lateral and Academy Graduate), you will be required to respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service; enforce laws and ordinances; monitor and control traffic; prevent crime; administer first aid when needed;  make arrests;  serve warrants and subpoenas;  interview victims and witnesses; interrogate suspects; process crime scenes for evidence; process and transport prisoners; investigate crimes and prepare comprehensive written reports; testify in court; present cases for prosecution to the District Attorneys office; speak before public groups on job related topics and provide other services as needed.
