Town Of Moraga

Design Review Board

Per one of its adopted 2019 goals of re-evaluating the Town’s planning processes, the Town Council considered consolidating the Design Review Board with the Planning Commission. The Council directed staff to prepare the updates to the Moraga Municipal Code required for this consolidation, and to allow the remaining Design Review Board member to be considered for appointment to the Planning Commission. Effective February 27, 2019 the Town Council approved consolidation fo the Design Review Board with the Planning Commission.

The Design Review Board consists of five members who meet regularly on the second and fourth Monday of every month. They are responsible for reviewing, evaluating and deciding applications for design review for new buildings, illuminated signs, projects requiring an exception to the Design Guidelines and projects in a scenic corridor in accordance with the Town's design guidelines and regulations.
